11月18日，大量媒体报道了一篇来自日本媒体nikkei（日本经济新闻）的报道，报道中称,紫光旗下公司长江存储科技已和美国美光(Micron)就技术合作展开协商，长江存储目标藉由美光的技术于2019年量产使用于智能手机等用途的NAND Flash。

但是在11月18日18:54分紫光集团发布了以下声明：

近日有媒体发布有关长江存储科技有限公司（以下简称“本公司”）与美国美光科技公司进行有关技术授权及合作的谈判等消息。对此本公司郑重声明如下：

截至目前，本公司从未与美国美光科技公司及其他公司就任何议题进行过谈判。经与本公司副董事长丁文武先生本人核实，他从未发表过任何涉及上述内容的信息。

In response to media reports about the talks between Changjiang Storage(YMTC) and Micron Technology on technology licensing and collaboration, YMTC made the following statement:

Up to now, YMTC has never held negotiations with Micron Technology and any other company on any topic. Mr. Ding Wenwu, vice chairman of YMTC has never made any comment or released any information on this.
